For Lord Decadent's Obsession
For Serenity's Dream
Raquel - Serenity's Dream is my first foray into the world of BDSM and blatant Voyeurism and I have to say it was a raw honest look into a different life style that before this book I really had no "real" knowledge of. Serenity and Lucien's estranged relationship took center stage over The Sapphire Club's members sexual fantasies. That is not to say you are able to forget "what" the club is actually there for but it becomes more of an awakening to Lucien and Serenity's feelings and desires. They each discover new fantasies that they never knew they wanted or needed. Serenity comes to Lucien as a woman and not a scared young woman who was afraid of sex and all that came with it. Lucien discovered he has the capacity to actually love someone and adore someone without it being a hazardous force in his life. They learn to trust in themselves and each other.
I was so consumed by this couple that their needs and desires became natural and not so foreign to me anymore. It became more of an extension of their love and commitment to each other. I for one can not wait to read Lord Decadent's Obsession and Chocolate, Tea And The Duchess the next two installments in this very erotic series.
This book was a very HOT and STEAMY read and it let me throw my inhibitions to the wind. On a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 10. If you are looking for an erotic tale that will give you a voyeuristic look into the fantasies of others and possibly shed a little light on your "secret" desires then you need to read Serenity's Dream. Oh, you might want to keep a little fan handy for when the book gets a little HOT....^_^.

4 Hunks for Lord Decadent's Obsession
Brita Addams takes us back to the Sapphire Club with LORD DECADENT’S OBSESSION and she stays true to her erotic tales with a twist of romance. Desiree and Prentice were made for each other and I enjoyed watching the master squirm. Ms. Addams does it again one hot, steamy read.

Review: WOW! When I was younger I never read regency romances. Then one day I woke up and bam, I just started and have since discovered that I really enjoy them. Let me just say that if they were all as hot as this one...HOLY CRAP!!!
A total turn-on from start to finish. Emotions raw and ragged are exposed and thrown out there for you to read, see and feel...and I felt every one :) With just enough kink to make it super spicy but not over the top. The sex was hot but the story was really great.
A total pleasure to read :)

Review:
Desiree has a secret—and she is not sharing. A widow with a wild side she maneuvers her way into Serenity Club and a meeting with Prentice, the Marquess of Wycroft. Her goal, unbeknownst to him, is revenge for the marquess is the very man who deflowered her many years before when she was but an innocent girl of eighteen. As her suitor at the time would not marry a young lady who was not a virgin, she was given in marriage to someone thrice her age and suffered years with him.
When Prentice first spanks Desiree he feels a spark—even though he remains true emotionally to his late wife who died giving birth to their son. As time passes though the lord’s obsession overcomes him and Desiree finds herself falling in love with her intended victim. They appear to be a well suited match but will either of them be able to let go of the past long enough to have a chance at a future?
This historical BDSM novel is quite a treat. The descriptions of the environment are aptly done and really feel suited to the timeframe of the book. The language used is authentic to the period for the most part and is, at times, funny.
Given all the erotica available today it is very fun to go back to old time names for various parts of the anatomy. The plot is strong and well developed—the angst placed strategically so that it propels it along and you do not ever get the feeling something is contrived. It is all very believable. The BDSM scenes are also steamy and hot—although nothing too hard core.
Overall, Lord Decadent's Obsession is a nice easy read that will provide a smacking good time!

Phillip Allard, Duke of Thornhill has avoided marriage and prefers instead to sate his unusual sexual desire with frequent visits to “The Sapphire Club” where membership entitles one to indulge their sexual fantasies free from the prying eyes of polite society. Phillip is not on the lookout for a duchess but after one dance with the beautiful, and 20 years younger, Lady Felicity he finds himself embroiled in a set of circumstances that force him to marry the feisty chit. He plans to treat her well but also refuses to give up his freedom, the “Club” and his desire for other men. Felicity, ever curious, is determined to find a way to please her husband but will she ever be enough for him?The romance starts out on shaky ground as neither of them wishes to be wed. Felicity decides to make the best of it. She’s naughty and eager to learn the pleasures of the marriage bed. Philip enjoys her company and her bawdiness and desires her but fears his dark secrets may destroy any budding relationship between them. He’s torn between his duty towards his new wife and his inner desires and is unwilling to let either go.
He is a controlling and admittedly selfish and entitled man, but he also carries a huge burden of self loathing and fear and believes that Felicity deserves better. Eventually, Felicity starts to break down his barriers with her open and accepting heart. They are well matched but it wasn’t until another man, drop dead sexy bi-sexual Alex, was introduced into their bed that they began to work out a lasting solution to their complicated situation.
I appreciated the fact that neither Felicity nor Philip professed their undying love immediately after having incredible sex, but instead slowly began to appreciate, trust and understand each other. It made the story a much more believable fantasy. If you’re looking for a darker edged hot read that doesn’t go down the expected path Chocolate, Tea and the Duchess is a good choice.
What Readers have to say
Reviews from people who have read Serenity's Dream. Hooty-Whoo!! Oh this was so good to have this peek into the book (excerpt). And to know more is coming with this series! There's just something special for me reading a historical romance. I got goose bumps reading that excerpt. A beautiful writing voice! (Caffey)
I loved reading Serenity's Dream! It was both super hot and deliciously warm and tender. I love the idea of eroticism in such a rule-bound era... simply scandalous (Fiona Vance - author of erotic romance)
ALL DONE!!!. That was simply fantastic.. I would think you would write another story about Prentice Hyde the Marques of Wycroft or Simon The Viscount Westerhouse.. I'm sitting here wishing it was July 19 already.. I will be one year older but I'll be in heaven to have another one of your books... I plan on re-reading Serenity's Dream sometime during this next week.. This is my first book of yours and I'm already excited about the rest of them in this series.... Congrats this book is Unbelievable... Loved It...
Way to go!!! I woke up at three and had to read the last 3 chapters again.... Its sooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serenity's Dream was a fascinating tale! The heroine was very easy to relate to, and the hero was sexier than sin. This is a book I'll be reading again, and I'm jumping on the other two now.

My first foray into 'Romantic' historical fiction. Normally, I prefer Patrick O'Brian's 'Master and Commander' books and the Richard Sharpe series of novels by Bernard Cromwell. However, and a BIG however, Serenity's Dream has made me a instant fan of the Sapphire club! The book is steamy, sexy and HOT! One should wear oven mitts while reading it. Author Brita Addams does an admirable job of bringing to life the characters, dialog and settings of the period to life.
