About and Contact Brita

Hello my friends,

Just a little about me to satisfy your curiosity. I grew up in upstate New York and was fortunate enough to have been blessed with wonderful teachers who not only nurtured my love of books and history, but helped me to cultivate a love of writing. In the seventh grade, I was invited to become a member of the Yorker Club, being the person who wrote the constitution for our chapter. The club studied the history of New York, fueling my love and admiration for those who came before.

I have been a non-professional genealogist for over twenty years, not only delving into my family history, but helping others to do the same. It has been tremendously rewarding helping others to uncover the secrets locked in dusty records, held in old town halls.

The stories from my own genealogy have fired my imagination as have the wonderful novels that I have spent a lifetime reading. I have written short stories and even newspaper publicity for my high school plays and variety shows. As I grew into adulthood, I have written many a letter for family and friends, who have always said, "You have a way with words." I spent several years making speeches when my youngest daughter was the March of Dimes Youth Ambassador for the New Orleans area and found that I rather enjoyed speaking before hundreds of people and I didn't kill me!

I enjoy reading and writing Regency romances. The erotic stories I write depict a life not only in another time and place, but the characters in sexually explicit ways. I have always been of the opinion that we did not invent sexuality and though it is true Regency society held propriety in high regard, there were some very lusty men and women as well.

Many of those men and women inhabited the hallways and private rooms of the Sapphire Club. The activities there are perverse and happen among consenting adults. Bottoms get spanked, and sexual pleasures beyond imagination are realized in any number of ways.

Noble Romance Publishing is the home of the Sapphire Club series. Serenity's Dream, Lord Decadent's Obsession and Chocolate, Tea and the Duchess comprise the series, with other books planned.

Love Immortal is my m/m vampire story available at Silver Publishing. It tells the tale of Laurent and Sebastian, two of my favorite all-time characters to write.

Splendid Captivity is a m/m/f menage, also available at Silver.

I'm pleased to have FREE ME with Amber Allure, the GLBT home at Amber Quill Press. Phil and Bryan's story will be out on June 5th.
